Le Bistro des Deux Theatres
18, Rue Blanche, 75009 Paris Le Bistro des Deux Theatres is my favorite date restaurant in Montmartre. It's on a quiet street near the big Trinité church (which you should take a stroll to after your meal!). The place is classy and romantic and not insanely expensive, they serve traditional French cuisine, and it's not at all touristy, as it's in a quiet neighborhood. They menu is something like 35 Euros a person for three courses and a bottle of wine to share. The food is amazing and the waiters are charming and funny. It don't get no more French than this place. I've had the duck almost every time I've been there, usually with escargot to start out, and everything is fantastic. There's nothing weird or unusual about this place, unlike most of the other restaurants I try to write about, and in fact the one really great unusual thing about it is that it's wonderful French food and ambience, not overpriced, and not touristy. Writing this review has made me hungry!
